MYSTERY JAM MONDAY PART 112

Welcome to the 112th installment of Mystery Jam Monday Here at Phish.net! As usual, we will be playing for an MP3 download, courtesy of our friends at LivePhish.com / Nugs.Net. The rules haven't changed: you need to correctly identify the song and the date to win. Post your guess in the comments. One guess per person per day (with the second “day” starting after I post the hint). A hint will be posted on Tuesday (if necessary) and the answer will be posted on Wednesday. Good luck...

Wednesday Answer: Congrats to WayIFeel for being the first to get the 8/15/98 Lemonwheel "Bowie." Monday is Labor Day and the Blog is taking the day off, so we'll be back on the 10th with MJM113.

Jackaroe Is that from the 12/29/94 Bowie?

mcgrupp81 I'm confident on the year and that's it. Will have to wait to the evening to check out some long shot guesses.

mcgrupp81 You know what. Thought it was 95 and I keep hearing hints of Harpua in there, so I am going with 8/17/96 Harpua. No better than any other guesses I can come up with.

andrewrose No idea. And yet, I think I know this jam.

PersnicketyJim It's in D, right? That guitar effect sounds 1995, but I think that's in there to throw us off. I'm reminded of that set in which they played (almost) every song in D and offered a prize to the person who knew. I'm not in a place to verify but I'm going to go with 1999-09-29 Runaway Jim > Free.

I was wondering if it was Lemonwheel. Definitely sounded 97-98 to mean, and had that big outdoor feel. Didn't have Lemonwheel on me to check. Nice one.

PersnicketyJim Did I say D. Nevermind, try C#. But I'm still going with Free from the summer of 1996. I'll try 1996-07-12.

PersnicketyJim D'oh. Well done.
, comment by WayIFeel
WayIFeel I was definitely thinking it was '94 but then started looking for extended jams into Bowie from '98 and finally stumbled onto this one. I've been screaming for a summer '98 MJM so I'm glad I got this one. Finally a MJM victory!

MiguelSanchez Congrats!!
, comment by mcgrupp81
mcgrupp81 That's a solid get. I felt this was one of the tougher Mystery Jams. It could have easily have been part of a jam into 2001 or any other song for that matter.

DogGone encore jam from 98 (lemonwheel)
