NEW LIMITED LIVEPHISH SUMMER 2010 SHOWS RELEASED

Phish released the 2nd round of summer 2010 shows in remastered format today. These hand-picked shows were remastered for this release by Fred Kevorkian and are available on iTunes and hard copy CD at select music stores. So far there is no published list of music stores that will carry the CDs. The three shows chosen for this release are:

8/6/2010 Greek Theater, Berkeley, CA iTunes Link

8/7/2010 Greek Theater, Berkeley, CA iTunes Link

8/13/2010 Verizon Wireless Music Center (formerly Deer Creek), Noblesville, IN iTunes Link

Has anyone compared the LivePhish.com downloads to these fresh remasters? We would love to hear your opinions in the comments.

roybelly On the greek shows, the re-masters seem to have more definition in the low-mid and mid range than the livephish version , and I think the remaster really brings what fishman is doing more forward in the mix....it also seems like on the greek remasters, you get a more audible sense of that steep amphitheater sound...a bit more of a true sense of the way the "room" sounds as opposed to what I have heard of the livephish versions.

I will have to comment on deer creek another time, cuz while I have access to the remaster, I don't have the livephish version.

Aren't they sweet?!?

private8x Believe it or not, I could actually hear some of Mike's bass tones... like the bellowing of a disembowled cow (simple physics/not his fault)... at Coit Tower on the 6th (I think, though it may've been the 7th), whilst scouting and videodocing the North Beach AO. Due to its unique microclimate and singular geography, sound carries exceptionally well across San Francisco Bay. I'm *glad* you fellas put these shows up! :)
