beach Interesting read. Also, nice work phans!

"However, for 99% of the time during the music itself, all those nearly 2400 people filling every single seat in the Walt Disney Concert Hall were perfectly quiet and attentive—so, that was very nice for us to experience. The notable exception was “Stash,” during which there was rhythmic clapping by about 4800 happy hands—but only in those appropriate spots where it filled the music’s rests with admirable precision—and sing-along episodes, in perfect sync with the “second theme” of the main tune."

Phish_N_Grits I was there and it was a great first time experience in Disney Hall (that venue's amazing). Now Phish just need to come play California and make it more than just a handful of shows.

mgh2001 I also love this quote about Trey, "For example, at the beginning of our rehearsal with him, he made an effort and took the time to talk to those of us (including me) who were seated in close proximity to him on stage. He introduced himself, learned the names of each one of us personally, and then asked us to tell him immediately if the volume level of his amplification was uncomfortable for us, which was a much nicer approach than that of most other rock musicians with whom we performed in the past. Needless to say, his amplification was well balanced and he used it in moderation at all times."

fluff_hen The energy of a Phish crowd transmuted to a symphony hall was amazing to experience. We were all grooving in a totally contained way; you could literally feel the silence in that incredible room when the music went quiet. I too felt we were all clapping precisely on beat and harmonizing in tune... it's so cool to read that the musicians also heard it that way!

Excellent video of Stash in there too- nice work!

lawsuit I like how he offered some criticism of the material in the second page of the interview. It made the compliments seem much more real, and not just obligatory ass-kissing.
