spikemon After the jam they went into on the song @ MSG last year I was starting to actually listen to this song, and after I heard this version I was hooked. Light rocks!!! Great jam

switz Light isn't my favorite song by any means, but damn do they always take it somewhere.

TennesseeJed Light has been a consistent Heads Up for me when ever it gets played. This version fits nicely in with the cannon. Watching Trey in the video gave me a new insight into it's structure. Well done.

joechip Besides just being a flat out smoker of a jam, this represents a welcome new approach for Light. Usually Trey has worked his way into the jam with an extended section of atonal soloing...none of that here, just straight into the melodic, swinging, jazzy phrasing that morphs naturally into Manteca. Love the way Page works his way around his whole rig here. Over the top raging peak followed by a very effective flanging meltdown ending...This is absolute top-notch Phish, and so damn confident!

MDosque I was in the audience. This song was terrific. I echo the idea that Light isn't really one of my favorites, but it's true - they have used it as a vehicle to explore. From now on, when Light kicks in, I will not sigh that jaded vet sigh of mine. I will pay attention and get excited. Thanks for this video - with no screens at Bader, it was tough for me to see the stage and this is nice for a close up.

That_Guy_Chino agreed on all fronts of the aforementioned........ they took the mothership to a jazzy funk melody weaving back into the seriously positive jam that Light represents. Nicely done boys. They looked giddy getting into Manteca or what is now known as "LighTeca".

Was at all 3 and enjoyed the AC shows, but this holds a light to the rest....
