TRIBUTE BAND, THE LAWN BOYS, PLAYS SULLIVAN HALL NYC FRIDAY 1/25
The Lawn Boys, a New York City based Phish tribute band, will be playing Sulivan Hall at 214 Sullivan St., NYC tomorrow, January 25. More information on their Facebook page here. The Lawn Boys generously staged a benefit performance last November for the Mockingbird Foundation, raising almost $1,200 through door receipts and a table staffed by volunteers Katherine Weatherly and Kelly Lawson.

You don't want to miss these guys, trust me. Have seen them quite a few times now and the show is always great. If there is any possibility you can make this, do it.

If you're going to be in NYC on Friday night, you should probably do yourself a favor & get to this show. For a mere $12 (or $15 on the day of the show), you will get 2 full sets of tunes from guys who really put their all into making these shows great. I know the thought of a "Phish tribute band" might be cheesy to some of you (as it was to me before the 1st time I saw them) but believe me... It's worth it. Your view will be changed after the 1st song, I promise 
Definitely check out The Lawn Boys! I randomly stumbled upon the Hurricane Sandy Benefit show and couldn't have been happier. I had just finished my first of seven 90 hour work weeks after driving from Chicago to NYC to help restore property damaged by the hurricane. My hotel was around the corner from the Canal Room, which I was passing as I headed to Nancy Whiskey Pub (the best hole in the wall bar in Manhattan) and I heard "Also Sprach Zarathrustra" booming out of the venue....I was in shock. I gladly surrendered to The Lawn Boys' tractor beam via 2001 and enjoyed the rest of the show. I was very impressed, and truly comforted by their musical talents at a time when I needed it most. Thanks Boys!!!

I enjoyed this show. So much, I felt a little guilty inside. They rocked.
