Being at The Forum last night, after couching the SB shows, two things struck me immediately. From Trey's very first strum to open the show the sound was incredible. I don't know if the recent remodeling had something to do with it but the mix was perfect from the get go. Easily the best I've ever heard the band sound, yes Hollywood Bowl shows included. The second thing was the overall energy. Contrasted to the jahness two nights before in SB, at the Forum (again from the first note) Phish was very much a large arena veteran kick-ass rock n' roll band firing on all cylinders.
