The Mockingbird Foundation is a non-profit organization founded by Phish fans in 1996 to generate charitable proceeds from the Phish community.
And since we're entirely volunteer – with no office, salaries, or paid staff – administrative costs are less than 2% of revenues! So far, we've distributed over $2 million to support music education for children – hundreds of grants in all 50 states, with more on the way.
I'm just going to throw in a few more instances of HOSE from some of the earlier years:
11/24/91 YEM (!!!)
8/26/93 SOAM
6/11/94 SOAM
6/22/94 Mike's -> Simple sandwich
7/8/94 Stash (A Live One version)
6/15/95 Slave (one of the few really unique Slaves, also v beautiful and kind of screaming; amazing)
6/24/95 Bowie AND Hood (one of the most perfect Hoods ever played imo)
11/10/95 YEM w/Crossroads
There is plenty more, and I might post again with versions from other years, but there are a few jams that absolutely sound like transcendent HOSE to me.
Again, THANK YOU for this post. What a list!!!
