Continuing in what will be a very busy week of announcements, we're very happy to announce the first (of what we hope is many) Phish.net contests! We are very excited to be offering some spectacular signed Mike Gordon goods. Mike's new album, Moss, will be released on October 19th. We're offering your choice of two tickets to any show on the upcoming Mike Gordon tour or a signed limited-edition 180g clear vinyl copy Moss to a grand prize winner.  Two runners-up will win a signed CD of Moss .

The rules are as follows: You must post one - and only one - comment in the forum thread entitled "This is the Mike Contest!", which you can find here. To be eligible, all we're asking in that in your post, you tell us your favorite Mike song (please note we're looking for a Mike Gordon song, not a Phish song). If you want to get creative, share what you like about that particular song. Note that you may enter once and only once, a second entry will disqualify you from winning.

Here's the small print: One entry per person (in other words, no clones!). One prize per household. You must be registered on phish.net and the email address tied to your account must be a valid, working e-mail. We will notify winners via email. This contest is open for 604,800 seconds - that's one human Earth week - from the moment the forum thread is started. All entrants must be at least 13 years and must have a shipping address in the US. Winners will be determined by a database query that will randomly select 3 users from the forum thread. The query and the results will be posted after the end of the contest next week. Each user will be then checked for multiple posts. The first result to come up, meet the requirements, and list their favorite Mike Gordon song will win the tickets or the signed LP, the next two will receive the signed CDs.
