Review by zmadhungarian

zmadhungarian If I'm not mistaken, this performance took place on Spring Fling day at Fiji. I was part of a band called Bongo Bill and His Pet Buffalo Phil. We were the opening act open on the steps of the Fleming Museum early that morning. I played congos and back up singer while the rest of the band played guitars.

After a long day and night, a few of us ended up at Fiji. The frat was roasting half a cow on a spit over a sea of molten charcoal. By the time we got there, there wasn't much meat left but Phish was still playing for a few hangerson.

My friends and I were the last people in the backyard of the frathouse picking at the cow and checking out Phish. Needless to say we were first row. I don't remember what they played, but during the last jam, Fish passed us a milk crate full of percussion instruments to join the band. They were just that cool already back in '85.

We jammed with Phish for what seemed like an hour, but in reality was probably only 10 minutes until they called it a night. Thanks Phish! Keep rocking!
