The long David Bowie intro contained a Silver Bells tease from Page, three Charlie Chan signals, and Simpsons, Popeye, Random Note, and Random Laugh signals. The band responded to the Popeye signal by singing a random note, which is the Random Note signal's "secret language." Sweet Adeline was performed without microphones. This show was moved from the originally scheduled Angel Ballroom to this venue for unknown reasons. The opening act was The Authority.

golph I was at this show and remember it well as it confirmed to me that after seeing just a few shows this band was for me.
I am pretty sure the vacuum was used at this show during "love you"... I do not have a tape of that show but remember that fish cut his tongue on it and left the stage after announcing " I bled for you tonight!" to the crowd.
Hope this checks out ... it was a great show!

DollarBill Nice show for this time period. Bowie intro also features Page teasing the neighborhood trolley theme from Mr.Rodgers Neighborhood. Solid second set.
