History

Arising from "The Rock,” Phish concluded its 1995 musical Halloween costume by doing justice to one of the most popular classic rock songs of all time. Perhaps more importantly, it was with his passionate belting of this song that Fishman first asserted his role as a musician capable of singing for more than just a laugh. As with several other Quadrophenia songs, the decision to augment the performance with horns added a special dimension that made this a memorable event for all in attendance.
